Homemade Banana Bread

Sometimes when we have leftover browning bananas at my shop, someone will take them home and make banana bread. This time that person was me… er, rather I brought them home and my mother made banana bread! I did all the necessary taste testing though ; )Submitted to the Friday Food Fiesta group on 9/5/08 (“Bread”).

Whole Foods Love

I think I’m in love. With Whole Foods. The_dean and I went there for the first time yesterday evening, and I couldn’t get over just how cool this store is! There is everything that a girl could want in the way of natural and organic goodies, and also vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free goodies that will be so good for the_dean since he has such a limited diet in many ways. There were products there that I had been searching for (Rachel’s yogurt, Madhava agave nectar, dairy-free desserts) plus so so much more. They had a bunch of free samples, so we munched as we walked through, and oh, the bakery department! This is where I found these delectable little desserts. So pretty and tiny, eating them seems like such a shame. But then, since they’re so little, they’re just right. I do love dessert, but most of the time, I just want a little bit and I’m just fine. These mini treats are just right.
