tuna tar tar

A bit of a change from yesterday thai-chinese food. Tonight i’m having italian at giusto winebar. It is nice to be back to this place again. It is now 8 month old.. and i’ve spent a full year designing and fighting with constructors.. it sure was a torture and probably the main cause of my allergies.. Anyhow, I’m really glad they are doing well. I’m uploading this as i’m eating.. I’m able play around shooting the food cuz i have the second floor to myself .. they are not heavily booked tonight.. the heavy rain and flood last night really freaked many people out. I’m waiting for a late night meeting with one of the friend here, so now i’m working while dining alone.. i thought i upload this .. sort of dining with flickrian :D anyone around?

The pizza I made – after baking

I was in the mood for pizza, so I pitched the idea to Alice and she was up for it also. Originally I was going to make my own crust but that plan didn’t work out. Instead I went to Whole Foods and got some ingredients there. The crusts are cornmeal crusts. I’d never tried those before and they looked interesting. On a side note, I don’t quite know what the deal with Whole Foods is, but I think they assume their customers are allergic to every F’ing thing on the planet. The only pizza dough I could find that wasn’t made out of spelt or something non-wheat based was this block of dough that was hard frozen into a murder weapon. Anyway, the sauce is a Whole Foods brand, “365″ or something. Roasted garlic tomato sauce. The cheese was fresh mozzarella balls, little ones floating in their own stew. Last but not least, freshly made hot sausage, which was cut open and cooked in small pieces before putting onto the pizza.First we spread the sauce onto the crusts. Alice added garlic, basil, and oregano before laying down the cheese. I added the garlic before laying down the cheese, then the rest of the spices once the cheese & sausage were on. We divvied up the cheese into half a pack each. Alice shredded the cheese and had a full covering on her pizza. I sliced the balls and laid the circular cuts down as they were. Then the sausage was added. I added a little rosemary to the top of my pizza and then sprayed it very lightly with olive oil. Both of the pizzas were incredibly tasty. I loved the cornmeal crust – it was very crispy. Alice thought it was too hard, but I really liked it that way. The rosemary I sprinkled on top added so much flavor… so much of just the right flavor. It was awesome. I need to make this again.
